GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- City and county officials met up at the State of the Valley luncheon to talk about local business, and economic growth.
At the second annual luncheon, a panel of city and county officials from around the Grand Valley met up to talk about the economy in our area, specifically, what the future might look like.
A big talking point was bringing in businesses, both big and small into the area, to help open up more jobs, and get the unemployment rate down.
But another big topic was how to get the valley to grow at a sustainable rate.
One county commissioner said it is possible for the Grand Valley to expand and grow too fast, and says that could cause problems.
