Suffering from allergies? Grand Junction Naturopath has some tips

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Are you suffering from allergies right now? Well you’re not alone. Dr. Christopher Lepisto from Grand Junction Naturopath joined us on the noon show with some tips.

He says that the allergy response is more about tolerating the exposure than it is about trying to avoid pollen, dust or dander. He says you need to have the basics like good hydration, enough restful sleep and identifying any food allergies, which make the reaction worse.

He says the most helpful tool is a sinus rinse, also known as neti pot therapy. Originating in the ayurvedic medicine tradition from india, it involves a nasal rinse once or even twice daily that can transform people's lives.

There are a lot of benefits to local raw honey (local pollen from the bees is the key), nettles, quercetin, vitamin c and nac, which thins and clears mucus from the body.
