GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The District 51 Foundation donates $20,000 to help teachers learn this summer.
The donation will go to the school district's annual Summer Institute. It's a week-long professional education course for D51 teachers. More than 500 will participate to learn from guest speakers and colleges.
"This week, there are a variety of classes, all sorts of professional learning, that will just help them at their craft as they engage with kids in the fall," said Angela Christensen, Executive Director of District 51 Foundation.
It started Monday, June 3 over at Grand Junction High School.
