Missing Mesa County family found safe

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A family reported missing earlier this week has been found, after a statewide Endangered Missing Person Alert was sent out.

The original report from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation says the family was reported missing Monday, July 8th, after they had not been heard from for several days.

This morning, Shiann Moore, and the three kids, Lillie, Timothy, and ten-month-old Sabrina were all found safe, and weren't hurt

While it's still unclear why Shiann left the Grand Valley with the kids, her mother says she is grateful for the person that spotted her daughter in Evans, Colorado, south of Greeley.

"There was a citizen in the community where she is was, that found her, and notified her supervisor. She then went through the right channels, and thankfully contacted law enforcement," said Shiann's mother, Terri Phinnell.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says Shiann did have custody of all three kids, and no crimes were committed.
