Juniper Ridge continues construction on new school

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Juniper Ridge Community School is in the middle of construction on their new campus.

Officials at the school say construction is set to be finished at the end of this August. Due to construction, students won't be starting until Sept. 9.

The school says the old location had a lack of space, poor heating, and poor air conditioning.

"We just didn't have any more room to grow. We've grown so much as a school that we didn't have anywhere else to put anything, we didn't have enough space for students," says Juniper Brenda Chesney. "So we had to build a new campus, and it's wonderful that we've been able to do this."

The school’s new location will be 17,000 square feet.
