GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Palisade was a busy place to be this week and with the last day of the Peach Festival, many people took the morning to shop at the Palisade Sunday Farmer's Market.
Local farmers in Palisade say it's important for people to shop at their local businesses because it’s what keeps the community going.
Although the Peach Festival is a busy time for farmers, they say their job is year-round, and they work hard to provide fruit and crops every day.
At the farmers' market, there was everything from peaches to tomatoes.
"It's really important for the community to come out, and see us, because this is our bread and butter," says Wildflower Palisade Charlotte Meiners. This is where, you know, the small business will thrive if we have the local community coming and supporting us.”
The Sunday market will continue through the month of September.
