GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- On Sept. 5 CMU celebrated the opening of their food facility called "The Caf," and another part of the celebration...a big check from Sodexo food services.
Sodexo gave the school a million dollars to represent their partnership. Officials say "The Caf" was built to "meet the taste" of students.
"It's so important because the students are changing, they've changed from just 4 to 5 years ago and the dining hall was built around nine years ago, so it was built for the students that were coming in then. Now, we really wanted to create a more welcoming space,” says Sodexo Campus Services Matthew Dokoupil.
They've also added what they call "neighborhoods" to help students engage with each other, as well as things like charging stations.
