GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Christi Reece group's Circle Fund donated $10,000 to the District 51 Foundation Thursday morning.

The D-51 Foundation improves technology for students and funds professional learning for local teachers.

The Christi Reece Group is a real estate company and each quarter they donate two percent of their revenue to a local non-profit. They voted to make this quarter's contribution to the D-51 Foundation.

"One of the things I love about the District 51 Foundation is they provide money for teachers to go to professional developmental classes, all over the country and around the world. So these teachers apply every year and there's more people that apply than they can give money for so I think it's a huge need," said Christi Reece, Realtor.

They also donated $1,000 to the local Young Life and $1,000 to Hope West.

This is their third time making the quarterly contributions. Reece says they plan to continue donating.
