UPDATE: Motorcycle accident claims victims life

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO)- UPDATE: The Mesa County Coroner has identified the motorcyclist who lost her life as 40-year-old Meghan Yaskoweak.

The accident occurred on February 8.

Her cause of death is blunt force head injuries and the manner of death is accident.

She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

The toxicology report also came back negative.

The law enforcement agency overseeing this investigation is the Colorado State Patrol.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Reports came in of a motorcycle accident at 32 and B 1/2 Road, here in Grand Junction.

Sheriff's Deputies arrived and found the driver unconscious.

Colorado State Patrol, Central Orchard and Clifton Fire Department arrived on scene to help the injured female driver.

CSP said the driver was not wearing a helmet, and shortly after was rushed to the hospital.
