Community Hospital does active shooter drill

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- Community Hospital had an active shooter drill on Feb. 21.

They say they want their medical staff to be prepared in the case of an emergency.

Nursing students from CMU acted out different scenarios as if a shooting nearby actually happened, and hospital nurses had to figure out how to respond.

Grand Junction Police Department, 9-1-1 Dispatch Center, the VA Medical Center, and the Canyon View Surgery Center also took part in the drill.
