Body found in Ouray County pond, police say

The Colorado Bureau Investigation along with the The Ouray County Sheriff's Office was investigating after a body was found in the Panoramic Heights Subdivision Sunday night.

According to a release from CBI, a person walking in the area found the body of 50-year-old Darryl Hemphill in a small pond. He was in the area visiting family.

CBI agents were at the site until members of the CBI Crime Scene Response Team started processing the scene Monday morning.

Authorities said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body.
