Boy Scout troops team up to sell Christmas Trees
If you're beginning your search for the perfect Christmas tree, there are some knowledgeable salesmen in Grand Junction that might be able to help you out.
Boy Scout troops 318 and 328 have joined together to sell over three hundred trees in the parking lot next to American Furniture Warehouse off of highway 50. The profits of the sales will go to fund the Scouts’ adventures. Two semi-trucks delivered five different types of trees; Boy Scout Kale Potter can help guide you in finding the perfect holiday centerpiece.
"I think people like the deeper green, the Black Hills Spruce, because if they want to hang a lot of ornaments on it, it has the stiffer branches and people like the deeper green than others,” Kale Potter of Troop 318 says.
The Boy Scouts opened up shop on Black Friday. Hours will be Mon-Fri 4pm-8pm, Saturdays 9pm-8pm and Sundays 12pm-6pm.
