GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO-KJCT)-- If you are looking for a unique opportunity Monday night, do not forget that we are at a great location to see the Perseid Meteor Shower!

One of our meteorologists says the peak viewing time will be at about midnight.

The skies should be clear Monday night into Tuesday morning and the West part of the United States will be better for viewing than the East.

NASA says the Perseid Meteor Shower is caused by debris left behind by the Comet Swift-Tuttle.
