GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Getting to downtown Grand Junction or the airport could be a little easier, and cheaper, at the end of the month.
From Thursday to Saturday, a free shuttle will take people from the airport, down Horizon Drive, CMU and on to downtown Grand Junction. Hotels and Downtown Grand Junction said it is a good move for business.
"This is great for our business because we have guests that stay with us multiple days and sometimes they want to go downtown,” said Darshann Ruckman, general manager of the Clarion Inn.
The first ride starts on March 21 at 4:15 p.m. The shuttle will run from then until midnight during the three days. Downtown Grand Junction put out $35,000 for the route, while the City and Colorado Mesa University put in $10,000. The airport and the Horizon Drive business improvement district gave $5,000.
