GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT News)-- Concerts in the Pavilion started on Sunday at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
These summer concerts are free and open to the public. Each Sunday will have different bands performing with music variety. In addition, to live tunes they will also share stories about the different outreach programs that they have worked with.
"None of the money gathered during the concerts will go towards our administration costs, or even into the church. They all go outward into our outreach efforts to serve the least," said Associate Pastor Laura Stephenson.
The concert series is a family friendly event. It will run every Sunday in July from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be beverages offered, but people are advised to bring their own food, picnics are welcome.
The church's address is 3888 27 1/2 Road in Grand Junction.
