GJFD responds to 25 Road truck fire

Grand Junction fire crews were called Tuesday morning after a truck caught fire in the area of 25 Road and Waite Avenue, between Patterson and G roads.
The call went out around 8 a.m.
There is no word on what caused the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Witnesses told reporter Jay Greene they heard a noise coming from the truck as it drove by before catching fire.
A thick cloud of black smoke could be seen in surrounding neighborhoods.
25 Road was closed between F 1/2 and Hayes Drive.
