GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO-KJCT)- The Grand Junction Lions club fulfilled pledges to the community, as they presented two checks that totaled $15,000 to The Center and the Community Food Bank on Tuesday.

Due to the success of the 90th Annual Carnival and Parade this past February, the Lions Club has been able to follow through with their donations. In total this year, the Club has granted over $145,000.

"Fulfilling the obligations we make to our community partner is always a proud time for us. Our Grand Junction Lions' Club motto is to 'Do the most good, for the most people'," says Lions President Angela Wetzel. "This is why it is so important that we are successful in selling our raffle tickets every Carnival Season and why we are always grateful for the support from the community and our business sponsors as well."
