House fire on Pinyon, one transferred to hospital

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)- The Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a fire at the 1400 block of Pinyon Avenue Tuesday around 2 p.m. One person has been transferred to the hospital with unknown injuries. Crews have put out the flames and are in the "mop up" stage.
The house, a shed in the backyard, and power lines on the south side of the house were all affected. Two individuals have been displaced at this time and Red Cross has responded for one adult.

Excel responded and fixed all issues with the power lines.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Grand Junction Police Department is on scene monitoring traffic around the area.
