VAIL, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Interstate 70 is not expected to be reopened until Thursday afternoon.
Another avalanche brought down about six feet of snow onto the road near Copper Mountain.
No one was hurt. The closure is from Vail to Copper Mountain while crews clear the snow.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says they are planning to do some work near the Eisenhower tunnel which could cause another lengthy closure Thursday.
As of 11 a.m. Thursday, eastbound I-70 at Silverthorne is closed due to avalanche concerns.
