Kyle Free's body found on the Mesa

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The body of a Clifton man missing since April has been found. The discovery coming nearly two weeks after Rebecca Walker was charged with his murder. This week, another Clifton man arrested in connection.

28-year-old Timothy Russman bailed out of jail around 7 p.m Thursday. Even though he's been released, he'll be GPS monitored to make sure he doesn't leave the state.

Investigators arrested Russman in Collbran Wednesday, he works as a carpenter there but lives in Clifton. He's charged with accessory to murder and other charges.

"We believe that he has a much lesser role in this and actually was a relatively cooperative with law enforcement in what we are investigating….Mr. Russman at this point has only been arrested for his conduct after the murder occurred and we don't believe he had any role in the actual homicide,” said Dan Rubinstein, Mesa County District Attorney.

Rebecca Walker was arrested last Tuesday as the primary suspect. Walker's charged with first-degree murder in the death of Kyle Free and being held on no bond.

The Mesa County District Attorney says his body was found on the Grand Mesa.

"In a very remote location in the northeast portion of Mesa County. It was up on the Mesa, I don't want to be any more specific,” said Rubinstein.

He couldn't confirm whether or not Russman led investigators to the body but said he was very cooperative and the body was found on the same day as his arrest. Documents in the case are still sealed by the court.

"They determined that the cause of death was gunshot wounds to the neck and chest and they ruled the manner of death as homicide,” said Megan Terlecky, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.

The District Attorney’s Office says they plan to release the sealed information no later than next Friday, December 14. That’s when Russman will be back in court and officially charged.
