A mail truck caught fire after crashing with a semi-tractor trailer around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of 12th Street and Ute Avenue.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department, the mail truck crashed when the semi made a wide right turn. The mail truck then burst into flames.

The truck was owned by CW Construction of Grand Junction.

Luckily, a local business helped to immediately extinguish the fire, and the mail was saved.

No one was injured, but police said the semi-truck driver was cited for the wide turn.
