Just like how mayors from different cities bet against one another for the Super Bowl, one winery in North Carolina, and a local, Palisade winery have a wager going on for Super Bowl 50.
Red Fox Cellars in Palisade opened their doors in 2014 and this is their first Super Bowl bet.
The wager is, if the Denver Broncos win, the North Carolina winery will have to make a donation to Delaney Clement's organization, Delaney Donates.
If the Broncos loose, Red Fox Cellars will have to make a donations to the North Carolina based charity Backpack Beginnings.
“It’s competitive, but for a good cause, so I guess no matter what the outcome it’s for a good cause, so I guess that’s good, but the Broncos are going to win,” said Kelly Hamilton with Red Fox Cellars.
In addition to the wager, Red Fox Cellars will be hosting a "Super Barrel Tasting" on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
In exchange for a donation to Delaney Donates, visitors can taste the Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cabernet Franc, a wine that has not yet been released to the public.
If you wear Bronco’s gear to Saturday’s event you can also receive 10 percent off a bottle of wine.
