PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- All the snow that has been falling in the Grand Valley can pile up on sidewalks and driveways.
People are responsible for clearing the sidewalks by their house. The Town of Palisade said it is a public safety issue, and one that can result in fines. However, they and Grand Junction stress the fact it is more about education than fines.
Snow has to be shoveled within 24 hours of a snowfall of two inches or more.
“Generally, for an inch or two a mechanic device isn't going to work as well as just shoveling it,” said Frank Watt, with the Town of Palisade.
