GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Wednesday on KKCO 11 News at Noon, Sarah Schultz, health promotion specialist at Mesa County Public Health joined us on the show.
They're hosting a series of parent education nights this fall.
The first will be on August 28th and they will be discussing vaping.
Vaping can often lead to smoking and drug usage like marijuana. They want to encourage parents to talk to their kids about the dangers of vaping.
They will have four other information night events. On September 25th they will be discussing suicide prevention.
Anxiety will be on October 23rd and discussions on prescription medication will be November 20th.
Lastly they'll be discussing marijuana usage on December 18th.
