Stroller Strides help moms get fit
Fit4Mom is a program that helps women strengthen their body for all the changes it will experience during and after pregnancy.
This program is now holding stroller strides at the Fruita Community Center to give mothers the strength they need by having a great work out with their children. Although the children have to be seated in strollers, this is a chance for the kids to see their mothers work out and understand that being strong and healthy is something to look up to.
"If you're with your kids all day that gives you an opportunity for you to still get ... good energy by doing exercise,” said Heather Burchall, who participated in the program. “For me, it was kind of using the stroller as a tool and still having my kids with me while I did it."
The program will take place at the community center every Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 - 11a.m.
