Two dead after motor-vehicle accident on Transfer Road

Harold W. Emick III, 66, of Olathe, Colorado and Sharon A. Lunsford, 65, of Pearland, Texas have been identified as the victims who lost their lives following a motor vehicle accident that occurred off of Transfer Road on Sunday, October 13.

At around 10:47 a.m. Sunday morning, the two were pronounced dead at the scene after both passengers were ejected.

Their bodies were transferred to the Forensic Science Laboratory at Montrose Memorial Hospital.

The case is under investigation by the Montrose Coroner's Office of Medical Investigations and the Colorado State Patrol.

The cause and manner of death are pending the results of the autopsies.
