Two killed in Garfield County crash identified

Two people killed in rollover wreck on Friday in Garfield County have been identified.
The Garfield County coroner said Tuesday that Trent Johnson and Matthew Smith died of multiple blunt force injuries in the accident at the Puma Paw Ranch north of Rifle.
The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports a third person, Rylan Johnson, 10, was flown to Denver for treatment.
The Post reports driver of the vehicle, Cody Christopher, 40, was taken to Grand River Hospital in Rifle with minor injuries and is now in custody on charges including drunken driving and vehicular homicide. He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
The group was headed out on a hunting trip when the crash occurred on the private ranch road located off of Garfield County Road 219, northwest of Rifle Gap Reservoir. None of the occupants in the SUV were wearing seat belts, the Colorado State Patrol told The Post.
