GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The Grand Valley Yoga Fest is happening Friday, Oct. 4th to Sunday Oct. 6th at Palisade High School. This annual event brings together beginner and expert yogis from around Western Colorado and beyond.
There’s meditation, beginners classes, moderate, philosophy lectures, dance...so don’t let the word “yoga” deceive you. Over 35 classes/events on the schedule.
There will be several free events, over 20 vendors, panel discussions, youth only yoga class, veterans only yoga class, keynote speaker, cacao ceremony, live musical events on Saturday and free community yoga class with DJ a Drez on Sunday.
Last year at the 1st Annual Grand Valley Yoga Fest raised $6,000 and gave it to local suicide prevention programs.
They say studies prove there is a positive mental health outcome with yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and breath work. That’s why they’re hosting a yoga festival.
