Western Colorado hemp one step ahead

A local company says the hemp industry in Western Colorado could be a cornerstone for the national industry taking off.

Colorado Hemp Solutions said today they are busy getting their fields ready for the Spring season.

They told us the hemp industry in the state is growing rapidly, and in addition to selling CBD products, a big chunk of hemp farm sales come from seeds as well.

Experts say Western Colorado hemp farms and the Colorado hemp industry are one step ahead in the game.

"In Colorado, we are blessed to have quite a few years of experience, so as other states come online with hemp programs, and as the US hemp program becomes a reality, there's a lot of need for the genetics to start it,” says Wacey Clark, Owner of Colorado Hemp Solutions.
