When it comes to the sport of soccer, it is a game that is known worldwide. And for CMU Men’s soccer player Moshe Perez, playing in the U.S has given him the chance to fulfil his lifelong dream.
He is this week’s athlete of the week.
When Perez came over from Israel, the soccer program knew that they had found a cornerstone for the program going forward.
"He has added a lot to the program. You know this is his 3rd season here and from the moment he stepped foot on campus and out on Walker field. We knew he was a special player”, said CMU Head coach Todd Padgett.
The potential of Moshe Perez out on the pitch is sky high, but for now the junior is focused on helping his team win a national championship.
“I love showing everyone that this program belongs at the top and the best of the best in the nation. We are aiming to always go deep in the tournament and NCAA tournament, “said Perez.
The Mavs have begun the season 4-0 and will start RMAC play on Friday against the School of Mines.
