CMU Women's Basketball: Lady Mavs pull out close one against CCU

The game on Saturday night wasn't a pretty one for Colorado Mesa women's basketball , but in the end they pulled out the 48-46 win over the Colorado Christian Cougars on Saturday night at home.

The Lady Mavs shot just 32 percent as a team from the field, but one bright spot for head coach Taylor Wagner was the defense which held CCU to just 46 points.

"We just came out flat after a big game yesterday. We looked really tired out there and I am just glad they were able to pull it out," said CMU head coach Taylor Wagner.

With the win CMU complete the weekend sweep and improved their record to now 13-4 on the year and 7-4 in the RMAC.

The Mavericks will hit the road next week for games at UCCS and Metro State.
