CMU Women's Basketball: Defense is key against BHSU

CMU women's basketball has won four straight games.

But it won't be so easy against Black Hills St.

On paper they're identical. The Yellow Jackets are also on a four-game win streak. Similar to CMU they sit at 15-4 overall and 9-4 in the RMAC.

"I'm honestly glad we don't have to play them at their place because it's always a tough game," said senior Erin Reichle. "I think we'll have a little more of an edge here. But it's going to be a hard game."

The Yellow Jackets average 69 points per game while CMU scores 64. Both teams shoot just over 40 percent from the floor and 30 percent from three-point range.

However CMU thinks the game will be won on the other side of the ball.

"They a shooter and driver and inside so it's really important for us to be in help and help each other out even like in talking and all that stuff," said senior Ma'ata Epenisa. "So it's going to be a good game."

Tip off is set for 5:30 P.M. om Friday from Brownson Arena.
