Fruita Monument girls basketball will hold their annual Pink Night on Tuesday to recognize those who are fighting breast cancer.
"I have a grandma who survived breast cancer so it's really great to honor her out there and play my game for her that night," said senior Sitori Carver.
The Wildcats will wear pink jerseys while relatives and teachers of the players will be honored before the game.
"Breast cancer is something that is synonymous with the women's game," said head coach Michael Wells. "I think we have a lot of girls that are on our team that have been impacted with family members and that sort of thing. The opportunity to partner with Family Health West and recognize some of those survivors I think is a way for our program to give back."
Fans have a chance to win prizes.
Family Health West sponsors the game and will be in attendance with information on hand.
Tip off is set for 5:30 P.M. at Fruita Monument High School with the pre-game ceremony at 5:15 P.M.
