CMU Women's Soccer: Lady Mavs hold prospect camp

Colorado Mesa women's soccer wrapped up their season back in October. Now in the off season the Lady Mavs are doing what they can to prepare the program for the future.

They hosted their 2018 Winter prospect camp over the weekend at Walker Field. More than 40 players from across the country spent the past two days in Grand Junction training with the coaching staff and players.

Most of the participants were in high school or junior college trying to make it to the Division 2 level. It gave the coaching staff a great opportunity to see some potential Mavs in action.

"It is always nice to do camps because it gives us an opportunity to recruit. We get loads of kids from different areas and brings in good diversity to what we are looking for on our team, " said head coach Jason Clare.
