CMU Baseball: Five Mavs make All-Region teams

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Five CMU baseball players earned a spot on one of the three major all-region teams.

Junior outfielder Hunter Douglas was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association First Team and National Collegiate Baseball Writers and D2 Conference Commissioners Association Second Team.

Douglas hit .409 with eight home runs and a .511 on-base percentage.

Senior Garrett Ball was named to the NCBWA and D2CCA. Ball batted .389 with seven home runs.

RMAC Freshman Positional Player of the Year Jordan Stubbings earned D2CCA second team honors after leading the Mavs with 11 home runs and 53 RBI's.

Senior Zach McLeod was named to the NCBWA second team after hitting .325 with seven home runs.

Junior pitcher Kyle Leahy made the D2CCA All-Region second team recording a team-high seven wins and tied for a team-high 85 strikeouts.
