Rimrock Rodeo returns

FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Fruita Rimrock Rodeo is back for its 25th year.

The lineup of events include bull riding, roping, barrel racing and mutton busting.

"I think it gets kids here in the Grand Valley started," said all-around state champion Brannan Allen. " I think if it keeps going it'll keep producing people like my mom, me, my sister, and my little brother. It gets us all started here. I think it's really great for everybody."

The rodeo runs from 4:30 P.M. with main events starting at 7:30 P.M. every Tuesday throughout the summer at Rimrock Adventures in Fruita.

"Some of these guys are getting on bulls are in the PRCA and some of them will be the first bull they get on," said rodeo coordinator Jerry Berentis. "It's exciting. We got every level. We don't try to hurt anybody. We try to put on a family entertainment deal."
