GJ Rockies: Rockies comeback falls short in Idaho

IDAHO FALLS, ID (KKCO/KJCT) The Grand Junction Rockies scored three runs in the 7th inning on Saturday night, but saw their comeback fall short against Idaho Falls falling 4-3.

Ryan Rolison started on the mound for the Rockies and gave up a hit to the first batter he faced, but the lefty was perfect from the point on giving up just one earned run. The Ole Miss product took the loss for the Rockies, his first on the season.

Offensively Grand Junction outhit the Chukars 10-4, but the Rockies leave 18 runners on base in the loss. Niko Decolati continues to impress at the plate on Saturday night he went 3-4 with an RBI.

The Rockies will still have a chance to win the series on Sunday with first pitch set for 4:00 P.M. from Idaho Falls.
