GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Grand Junction Rockies begin a seven-game road trip against the Helena Brewers on Friday.

The Rockies recently split a four-game series with the Brewers. They combined for 25 runs in the wins but scored just seven runs over the two losses.

"We face the same teams again so now that we've seen him we will see a lot of same pitching and vice-a-versa," said manager Jake Opitz. "We'll have a little bit more information on both teams and go up there and hopefully win a couple series."

Grand Junction are 13-12 on the road this season.

"If we can do well there we come back with a good lead in the race," said pitcher Jared Skolnicki. "It's getting close towards the end so if we can keep it going I think were definitely pushing towards playoffs."

Game one against Helena is set for 7:05 P.M. on Friday.
