PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Palisade football lost their two biggest offensive threats from last season.

Austin Bernal and Terrence Williams combined for 29 touchdowns and 2,935 total yards last season.

"We really miss those guys, but a lot of our young guys are taking those characteristics that they left behind," said head coach Joe Ramunno.

Senior Jason Bruce will step into that role in the backfield.

We got guys like Jason Bruce, Sebo Campbell and other guys to fill in the fullback position so it's going to be spread out," said junior quarterback Cam Tucker. "It's going to be really predicated on the offensive line."

Tucker threw for 804 yards with eight touchdowns while rushing for 1,180 yards and 16 touchdowns last season.

Palisade opens the season against Durango on Thursday at 7 P.M. at Stocker Stadium.
