CMU Women's Basketball: Mavs crack top 25 in WBCA poll

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The CMU women's basketball team may not remember what it's like to lose. They haven't done so in two months since the first weekend of the season.

The Mavericks are undefeated in league, they have won 11 straight, and now they are garnishing national recognition as the Women's Basketball Coaches Association has CMU ranked 23rd in the nation.

The Mavericks are the best scoring defense in the RMAC holding teams on average to 51 points per game. They're defense is tenacious holding opposing team's field goal percentage to 34% this season.

This weekend CMU will be back on the road at Adams State and Fort Lewis on Friday and Saturday respectively.
