GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) CMU baseball will look to bounce back from their series split with Colorado Springs last weekend when they host Colorado Christian this weekend. The focus will be patience at the plate and worrying about what they can control themselves.
"We are going to try and clean up things we didn't do well last weekend," said head coach Chris Hanks. "We are going to try and improve our team. We're not going to focus so much on our opponent but more on our self. We are just passing the midway point now and we need to start seeing incremental improvement to the end."
"It's big. I think this last weekend was a wake up call," said senior pitcher JR McDermott. "I don't want to say it was good for us to lose but I feel like it will help us in the long run mentally. Kind of get us back in the groove."
