GJ Rockies: Offensive onslaught leads to 12-1 win

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) In game two of the series with the Billings Mustangs, the GJ Rockies shot out to a quick lead and kept tacking on runs leading to a 12-1 win. The great showing at the plate ended the Rockies three game losing streak.

Grand Junction scored four runs in the first inning on four RBI singles by the bottom half of the order.

They added three runs in the second inning behind a Colin Simpson two-RBI triple and a Max George RBI double

Starting pitcher Helcris Olivarez got his second win on the season allowing no runs on three hits with seven strikeouts.

The Rockies will host Billings for game three of the series Tuesday night at Suplizio Field.
