CMU Men's Soccer: Conniff to continue winning legacy

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) It's a new beginning for CMU men's soccer. Mavericks first year head coach Andrew Conniff takes over a program that finished second in the RMAC last season and made it to the South Central Regional Championship.

WIth a new year comes new spots to fill. Four year starting goalie Briley Guarneri is gone, All-American's Kevin Del Mazo and James McGhee have graduated. This season, the Mavericks will look to continue their winning tradition with new players filling in like Brendan Brown who will be in the goal. The team still has high standards and coach Conniff doesn't feel the need to make any big adjustments.

"Hopefully the guys haven't seen too many changes early on," said Conniff. "I have bought in to what has been done to make this program successful and I just want to be a contribution to that."
