HS Boys Soccer: Grand Junction ends season with shutout of Montrose

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Grand Junction ends the season winning five of their last six games with a 2-0 win over Montrose at home on Wednesday night.

On a cold, windy night at Walker Field, Grand Junction held onto possession most of the first half. The Indians goalie Greg Sheya was busy in the net defending the constant attack from the Tigers. Just over 15 minutes into the first half, Grand Junction puts it in the net off a header from senior Enrique Hernandez to make it 1-0.

Grand Junction went into half with the lead and doubled their score in the second half to come away with the shutout win.

The Tigers end the season at 7-8-1, 6-3 in league play. Montrose drops to 8-7, 5-3 in conference.
