CMU Baseball gets Double-Header Sweep

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Baseball starting off the weekend right taking the first three wins of the series against Adams State.

Adams jumped on the board pretty quick with a home run over right field to take the lead, 1-0. The Mavs came right back in the second inning with a runner on second and Spencer Bramwell reaches second base on an error while Caleb Farmer is safe at home. Tanner Garner with runners in scoring position and finds a gap in left center for an RBI-double and takes the lead, 3-1.

Mesa stretched that lead later in the fourth for a final score of 11-4.

Mesa won their second game as well, 11-1. Freshman pitcher, Andrew Morris pitched the whole game and walked away with one walk and 11 strikeouts.

The final game will be tomorrow at noon.
