Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) After a win against Chadron State last weekend, fans had high hopes that they would carry that winning momentum into Saturday's game...but unfortunately, it was the opposite.
School of Mines scored three touchdowns in the first quarter reminding the Mavericks why they remain undefeated. The Orrediggers pulled ahead, 28-0 at the start of the second pulling in 595 yards of total offense while the Mavericks were limited to just 188 total yards.
Trevon Lambert snatched his first touchdown of the season as they remained behind 35-14 going into the half.
The Mavericks have yet to win a home game as they ultimately fell 56-20. They will remain home next weekend to welcome Fort Lewis.
