CMU Men's Basketball: Teamwork makes the dream work

By  |

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) CMU Men's Basketball has rattled off three straight wins and in each game, a different player has stepped up. Tommy Nuno scored 20 points against Chadron, Damon Dubots had a career game scoring 28 points in the win over South Dakota Mines, Connor Nichols had a career-best 37 points in a win over Black Hills State.

Each player is making this a well-rounded team that is tough to beat. and their team chemistry has grown as the season has gone on which only makes this team that much more dangerous.

"All these guys are my family. After every practice, before every break we say trust. I trust every guy on the team, we hang out, we're the boys. I think it's a lot easier to win with a team like that." says Senior, Damon Dubots.

They will take their win streak on the road as they play New Mexico Highlands tomorrow night and CSU-Pueblo on Saturday...
