CMU Softball get 18th Straight wins

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) CMU Softball hosted a tournament with Regis and CSU-Pueblo on Saturday.

The Mavericks won their first game against Regis, 13-0. Alexa Samuels had a grand slam, which she had one last weekend aswell. Pitcher, Kimbri Herring pitched all 5 innings, with 5 strikeouts and one walk.

In their second game against Pueblo, it was a slow start, Mesa came alive in the fourth. Bottom of the fourth, runner on first and Bailey Kleespies starts a two-out rally with a nice hit to the gap of center field for a stand up double. Runners on first and second and Sarah Staudle hits it up the middle and brings in an RBI. Lauren Wedman does the exact same thing for 2 RBI's

Mavs win 4 -1 to get their 18th straight win.
