CMU Swimming & Dive teams dominate in A3 Performance Invite

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) CMU Swimming and Diving teams dominate in their Aa3 invite over the weekend.

The Maverick Men swept the top three places while putting six in the top eight overall in the 100-freestyle. Pedro Terres Illescas sets records in addition to winning the 200-fly in 1:46.54. They won all 22 events including seven of them on Saturday. This is their fourth straight year taking first place.

The Women won each of the five relays throughout the meet and claimed four more event wins including the 400-freestyle relay in 3:28.00.

Sophomore diver, Jolynn Harris snagged 277 points on six dives off the 1-meter board, winning the exhibition event and set another NCAA qualifying score. Harris also broke CMU's school-record and the exhibition event record with that mark.
