GJ Rockies fall to Orem

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) It was a scoreless game until the third inning; It was bases loaded for the Owlz, and a ground ball gets through the infield for an RBI single and a 1-0 lead. Just a short moment later, bases loaded again, but this time it's a walk for Rockies Pitcher Alex Haynes and another run for the Owlz.
Haynes lasted just two innings, with two earned runs under his belt and an additional six walks for a 7.84 ERA.

In the third, Eddy Diaz had a hit to left field for a stand up double and Christopher Navarro also with a double to the opposite field, which brought in Diaz for their first run of the game. Christian Koss hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to tie the game at three, but the Owlz came back with three hits including a homer for the win.

GJ falls at home, 6-3.

GJ Rockies will have one more meeting at home Friday night against the Owlz at 6:40 p.m.
